Editorial policy

United Rugby Journal aims to make rugby’s wider culture readable, fair, and worth returning to. We distinguish explanation from opinion and take care not to present uncertain details as settled fact.

Accuracy and independence

We check names, descriptions, and factual claims against suitable material before publication, and make clear when an article reflects interpretation rather than an uncontested account. Editorial decisions remain separate from commercial arrangements; a partnership does not buy favourable coverage or control over independent editorial work.

Corrections

If a published detail is wrong or materially unclear, we review the concern and correct the piece where warranted. Readers can send the article title and the detail in question through the Contact page. Significant changes will be identified in the article so readers can see that it has been amended.

Partner material

Any paid, supplied, or otherwise partner-supported material is labelled plainly where it appears. Partner placements are kept distinct from independent editorial articles, and we do not imply that a commercial relationship is an editorial endorsement.

Images and illustrations

Illustrations may be commissioned, sourced, or generated with AI. Where an AI-generated illustration is used, it is identified as such; illustrations are not presented as documentary photographs of a real match or place.

Our point of view

Rugby belongs to its place and season

A match is part of a wider landscape of weather, local habit, and shared time. We look at those details as carefully as the field itself.
